How It's Performed

No anesthesia or sedation is required. You simply swallow the capsule with water and wear a small recording device on a belt or shoulder strap that collects the images throughout the day. You can usually leave the office and continue most normal daily activities while the capsule passes naturally through your digestive system.

2

After Your Test

You will return the recording device to the office as instructed so the images can be downloaded and reviewed. Dr. Jilani will discuss the results with you at a follow-up visit. The capsule itself is disposable and passes naturally with a bowel movement.
